Got around 50%, not too good but better than zero. I THINK you mentioned, not sure, but definitely tell them there’s not the same number in each group,
It’s ok you “only got 50%” since im teaching all the sound patterns on the next lessons. this exercise is here to prep your ear and mind to what we’re about to do.
I’m not sure I understood your second comment…
” definitely tell them there’s not the same number in each group”
what do you mean?
I like the exercise. But when I went to check it in the answers, My sound pattern numbers were not the same as the answer list, so that confused me at first because it made me think I did it all wrong when I didn’t.
Also, in the video you went from right to left and then to the line below from right to left. That is the order that I did the exercise as well, but the answers are not put into the list the same way (I hope it makes sense when I explain it this way) and because of that I really had to search if I did it correct instead of it being easy to see.
I see. The numbers are really not important
neither the order of filling the table (right/left)
I was certain I made it clear in the video that the numbering doesn’t matter
but I guess I didn’t. thanks for this important feedback!
– please check the text I’ve added under the lesson
and let me know if you think it’s clear enough now.
Because I already looked at the PDF given in the first lesson it was clear for me what you expected. Only listening to the sound of the words and dividing them into the 5 groups given in the PDF. I liked the excercise it makes you aware of the different sound patterns but since you also asked for a translation I would have liked a translation in the answersheet as well so I could have checked them.
I like the layout , the font style and that it’s easy to read even without reading glasses.
Perhaps you can suggest it as a bonus practice for those who are a little more advanced or eager to do more. I saw you added posted the translation. Thanks.
I agree with Anna. Treat the translation as a BONUS. Everything benefits the students, but since the exercise is SOUND patterns, focusing on this – or maybe having another BONUS row to organize – would be great.
I got 27/30 correct, and (to be honest) when I reviewed the answers they felt like silly mistakes. This leads me to my first feedback: I wish I heard the entire table being spoken out loud. Yes, recognizing them (and sounding out the verbs myself) yielded mostly correct answers. Indirectly, it tests our ability to read properly.
– I understand what DAEMY means; it’s less about the sound pattern number (1,2,3,4,5), but the sequence of the verb distribution (in a column). I did them in order: Right to left, top to bottom, but when reviewing the answers the column did not order the grouping as they appeared on the chart.
– Per Das1700 feedback: did you already update the Answer PDF? Because it appears there is a second page with the verbs translated already
The second part of the exercise – did you want us to submit our sentences for review?

Do you think i should edit out the translation request?
is it too distracting from the actual practice?

On the translation page, מִתְקַ ֵּׁשר is translated, but there is a spelling error. You wrote Calling (Phon, Zoom) but PHONE is missing the “E”.
My personal preference would be to see the Hebrew + English translation together, instead of separate charts.
I love the changes. It’s really nice to hear you read the verbs out loud since it’s an listening exercise.
Great update!
